Intro Letter

Hi, my name is Kirsten. I am from Northern NJ which is just thirty minutes to New York City, on a good day with little to no traffic. It is not a dump as everyone pictures New Jersey. There were deer in our backyard along with snakes, skunks, possums, flocks of wild turkeys, Canadian geese, and so on. My elementary school was right behind our backyard, so my commute from 2nd-6th grade was a path cut through our woods.

I am neither a Mac person nor a PC person. I am one of those strange-folk who does not get freaked out by either platform. Additionally, I don’t have preference really for one over the other – unless it is for graphics applications (Mac wins hands-down). Now I work on a G5 Mac for my graphics job, and have a PC at home with XP. Gotta admit, the genie effect on the Mac just rocks.

Why do use Kira? In one of my COE pre-req. class we saw how other countries, like Germany, guide high school student into a path towards a university or a trade tech field. The US has a a great deal opportunities for late blooming students and we get to be a part of that soon.

Hi Aunt Kirsten,
We took a look at your blog and we agree that NJ is the best, especially since I love the beach! Can't wait to see you over the holidays maybe!!
Love, Justin Davis, your loving nephew, 18 months

Kirsten -

Love the photo! I've actually never used a mac. Anywho, I hope one of these days we can find a place to meet somewhere and get together.

Good luck with classes and everything else.

Cindy

Hi Kira,

We have friends in New Jersey and it sounds really nice. With your current use of the Mac, you should find this class easy! It's great to meet you!
